As a
survivor of severe arsenic poisoning, this
is an area of intense interest and study for
me. For those with an analytical nature, I
will provide a few
links to get you started
on your quest for understanding, HOWEVER,
for those who just want to get the bad stuff
out of their dogs so that they will be
comfortable and content, here is the
"Reader's Digest" version:
For Organic Toxicity,
most of the damage is to the immune and
endocrine systems. If you stop the toxic input
(provide naturally preserved organic foods and
supplements, clean water,
organically-fertilized lawns, etc.) then
adding immune and endocrine boosting
supplementation combined with various
cleansing techniques should prove very
beneficial. Refer back to the article by
Judy Sinner for specific recommendations:

Allergies"

Personally, to provide a cleanse for our
dogs (and ourselves) we go to raw foods plus
an intestinal cleanser. Rather than take the
time to prepare a "BARF" (Biologically
Appropriate Raw Food) we buy the
Dynamite®
Ultimate Diet for Dogs,
which is a raw, cool-processed extruded beef
and vegetable meal. We throw a handful
of raw leafy greens (spinach, parsley, baby
lettuces), broccoli, carrots or a bit of
beet in the
Vita-Mix with several cups of clean
water, liquefy it all together and wet the
Ultimate Diet with it.
For canine intestinal cleansing we use the
Dynamite®
"Herbal Tonic".
We like that it also seems to kill
intestinal parasites without having to use
toxic medicines. (Although it is
not approved for humans, we sometimes make
the choice to use it ourselves, but our
'normal' human "Spring
Housecleaning" is done using
Stanley burrough's "The Master
Cleanser" method. This does not work
for dogs!)
For Heavy Metal Toxicity, the only viable
solution we know of is an activated,
micro-sized zeolite of a certain porosity
that has been suspended in solution. The one
we get is called "Natural
Cellular Defense" marketed by
Waiora, Inc. It came highly recommended
by our amazing doctor and friend,
Regan Golob.
A tiny little bottle is about $60 (unless
you sign up as a distributor and get it
wholesale). Fortunately, a little goes a
long way for most dogs.
IMPORTANT: As the toxins come out of the
body, there will be "openings" left in many
molecular chains that need to be filled with
the appropriate mineral. This is a good
thing, since the molecular chains were
malfunctioning with the toxic load in the
first place, but there must be ample
vitamins and minerals "floating around" in
the blood stream to take the place of the
bad guys and get the body functioning again.
This is why it is critically important to
concurrently provide an excellent
supplement. This is part of the next step ...
